Hello to all two-wheel enthusiasts! If you follow BMW Motorrad news, you know that the German brand doesn't just update its models: it gives them a real visual refresh every year. For the 2027 model year, BMW Motorrad is offering new colors, updated graphics, and special editions that reinforce the sporty, adventurous, or premium character of its motorcycles. These updates were announced in early July 2026.Highlights of the New Colors and Editions
Highlights of the New Colors and Editions
1. Frozen Brooklyn Grey Metallic on the R 12 G/S One of the stars of the 2027 updates: Option 719 Hematite in this new matte metallic grey. With accents in Racing Red and Mineral Grey Metallic Matte, plus a matching red seat, this version reinterprets the heritage/adventure spirit of the R 12 G/S with elegance and modernity. Perfect for those who want to go off the beaten track in style!
2. Blackstorm Metallic / M Motorsport on the S 1000 RR and M 1000 RR: The superbikes get an even more racing look. The M Sport Edition on the S 1000 RR sports this metallic black with the iconic M Motorsport stripes. The M 1000 RR also benefits from a new, lighter M Motorsport frame and updated graphics. These motorcycles embody the racing DNA like never before.
3. Imperial Blue Metallic for the K 1600 Tourers. The large touring motorcycles (K 1600 GT, GTL, B, and Grand America) receive the Edition II in Imperial Blue Metallic. Elegant stripes (yellow or white depending on the model), decorated wheels, and premium seats complete the package for a sophisticated, high-end look. Ideal for long journeys in style.
Other notable changes:
• R 12 nineT and R 12 S: Imperial Blue Metallic replaces San Remo Green.
• Graphic updates on several GS models (R 1300 GS Adventure, etc.), S 1000 R, and others.
• Option 719 and Style packages updated with new combinations (Racing Red, Light White, Triple Black, etc.).
• Returning or replacing existing colors, such as Frozen Brooklyn Grey, which replaces Sand Rover Matte on certain models.
Why These Changes?
BMW Motorrad isn't just changing the paint: these colors highlight technical advancements (new frame on the M 1000 RR, included services, optimized option packages). They reinforce the identity of each family: adventure/exploration, sport/racing, heritage/roadster, and touring/comfort.
Whether you're a fan of versatile adventure bikes, pure roadsters, or hypersport motorcycles, there's something for everyone in 2027. These modern and premium colors are sure to be a hit both on the road and on social media!
