Palm protection test

Publié le 23 juin 2026 à 13:59

I just received my palm protectors (Palmino 2.0, those famous ultra-thin glove liners) and I wanted to share my first impressions. I bought them mainly to improve the comfort of my summer gloves when riding my BMW R1200GS Adventure, as they get shiny on the palms, and I hope to improve both comfort and grip.

Why did I choose these protectors?

The R1200GSA is a great touring bike, but as many owners know, the 1200cc boxer engine transmits some vibrations to the handlebars, especially on the highway. Add to that long hours in light, ventilated gloves, and your palms often end up overheating or chafing. The Palmino 2.0 protectors are worn under your gloves and promise:
• Good vibration reduction
• Less risk of blisters and chafing
• Increased comfort over long distances
• Slightly extra protection in case of a fall.

First Impressions

I'm currently wearing them at home to break them in (they're a little stiff at first but soften up quickly). The material is thin, breathable, and doesn't restrict movement. I'm eager to test them in real-world conditions with my summer gloves.
As soon as I've tried them on the road (highway and secondary roads), I'll provide a full review: vibration levels, comfort after 2-3 hours, feel on the controls, etc.

Preliminary Verdict

For now, I'm pretty convinced that this little accessory will make a real difference on long rides on the GS Adventure. It's discreet, inexpensive, and a great addition to the gear of a big tourer.
If you ride trail, enduro, or even roadster bikes over long distances, I recommend trying this type of palm protection.

What do you think? Do you already use glove liners or palm protectors? Let me know in the comments!
